I’m Andrejs Mamikins

and I’m sorry…

I owe an apology to everyone I hurt with my words and actions. I deeply regret having supported Russia and beeing against Latvia in the past, and I understand how my stance caused pain – especially to the people of Ukraine, Israel, and Latvians. I am truly sorry.

Since then, I’ve taken time to learn, listen, and grow. I now stand in solidarity with Ukraine, Israel, and with Latvia – whose values of freedom and democracy I respect and cherish. I promise to use my platform to uplift voices for peace and justice, and to never repeat the mistakes of the past.

Thank you for giving me the chance to make things right. I hope to earn back your trust by acting with honesty, compassion, and respect for all.

Acknowledging the Atrocities Bucha…

A Modestly Grand Confession. Notes From A Very Busy Mole

Day 1. Arrival With Luggage and Purpose I arrived in Moscow with two suitcases and a destiny. The first suitcase contained clothes. The second suitcase contained clothes for the first suitcase. Such is the life of a person with layers. The hotel clerk asked what brought me here. I said research. This was true.…

To Latvian Citizens – A Heartfelt Apology

As someone who was born in Leningrad in 1976 and raised in Riga, I have always felt a deep connection to Latvia and its people. Yet in recent years, my words and actions have caused division and pain among those I care about most.
