The Russian “special military operation” (which is bullshit, we all know it’s a full on war) in Ukraine has unleashed unimaginable suffering. As a former Member of the European Parliament who once downplayed documented atrocities – such as the summary executions in Bucha. I recognize the gravity of my error.
Acknowledging the Atrocities
-
Bucha and Beyond: International observers documented the killing of at least 73 civilians in Bucha alone, with evidence of summary executions following Russian security checks.
-
War Crimes: Over 183,000 war crimes have been documented by Ukrainian authorities since February 2022, many corroborated by the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
My Apology
To the Ukrainian people – those who have lost loved ones, homes, and futures—I am deeply sorry. I apologize for having once given voice to false narratives, for minimizing your pain, and for failing to stand with you when it mattered most.
Commitment to Solidarity

Amplifying Your Story: I will use my platform to share verified accounts of your resilience and suffering, ensuring the world cannot look away.
